I am learning and enjoy Chinese Brush Painting. This Chickadee was one of the first pieces I did and felt proud of. In Chinese Brush painting, the colors are loaded on the brush in layers. The result is that in one brush stroke, several colors are put down at the same time, layering on the brush instead of on the paper as in traditional watercolor. The rice paper that is used presents a challenge as the surface can be unpredictable. In some spots it is absorbent and some spots are not.
Beautiful little bird. I have suddenly become fascinated with all things bird. Not sure why? Bur, I know it's a good thing if the Word speaks of birds...For His Eye is on the Sparrow...
